ORGANIC KARIGANE

Karigane is a stem tea made from Gyokuro tea plant (Superior grade) only in Uji, Kyoto.

The name of “Karigane” refers to legend that tea stem resembles a wild goose "Kari" sitting on tree branches above the water.

This tea is valued for natural sweetness, mellow and smooth taste, with a rich umami character. Unlike full-leaf green teas, Karigane is much lower in caffeine, much milder and without bitterness.

Flavor profile: very aromatic, grassy, floral and fresh, with light natural sweetness in taste.

Brewing tips:

• water temperature: 80-90°C warm water. Boiled hot water will make tea bitter;
• short steeping time: less than 1 min, longer time will result in very concentrated tea;
• re-brewing: 2 times;
• drink warm or with ice added.

Servings: 25.

Storage: store in a cool, dark and dry place.

Shelf life: 1 year before opening. Once opened, consume within the next 6 months.
