How to brew:

• Fill the chawan with hot water and place the whisk inside for a few minutes to soften it. Discard the water.
  
• Sift about 2 g of matcha powder into the bowl.
  
• Add warm water (70 °C) - hot water spoils the delicate powder and makes it bitter.
  
• Slowly add water to the powder, whisking in a zig-zag (M/W) motion until it forms a “matcha porridge” texture, then slowly add more water, whisk again until foam appears.
  
• Suitable to be brewed as matcha latte with plant-based milk or plain with just water.
  
• Matcha should be consumed immediately after brewing.

Care tips:

Chasen (bamboo whisk): Soak in warm water before use. After whisking, rinse under running water without soap. Dry upright on the whisk holder.
Chashaku & measuring spoon: Wipe gently with a dry cloth, do not wash with soap or soak in water.
Whisk holder (naoshi): Rinse and dry thoroughly, avoid abrasive sponges.
Matcha bowl (chawan): Hand wash only, avoid abrasive materials. Dry completely before storing.
Matcha powder: Always use a dry spoon, keep the tin tightly sealed. Store in a cool, dark place; refrigerate after opening to preserve freshness and vivid color. Consume within 6 months after opening.
