Kabusecha means "covered tea" in Japanese, which refers to the method of production. Before picking, young tea leaves are completely covered from the sun for 10 days to produce a rich emerald green color and a delicate natural sweetness in the flavor. Unlike Sencha and Gyokuro, this tea is less astringent, contains less natural sweetness and umami, with a mild flavor and rich aroma.

Our Kabusecha is a Superior Grade, as we only use tea leaves from the early spring harvest, which are the most aromatic and nutritious. Contains no additives or sweeteners. 100% organic certified product.

Flavor profile: aromatic green tea, smooth, mild flavor and rich aroma.

Brewing tips:

  • water temperature: 90°C warm water. Boiled water will make tea bitter;
  • short steeping time: less than 1 min, longer time will result in very concentrated tea;
  • re-brewing: 2 times;
  • drink warm or with ice added.

Servings: 25.

Storage: cool, dark and dry place.

Shelf life: 1 year before opening. Once opened, consume within the next 6 months.
