ORGANIC KARIGANE IRI MATCHA

Superior Grade green tea produced in Kyoto province with added Matcha powder.

Japanese farmers are famous for their creativity in using almost every part of the tea plant, and producing delightful tea blends from it. Karigane is made from the twigs of Gyokuro - the most famous and prize winning tea sort in the world, handpicked and usually handmade. 

During the growing, tea stalks are shaded and receive less sunlight. This results in lower cathehins amounts and more natural sweetness in a brewed tea. By blending with Ceremonial Matcha tea, it adds tenderness, silky aftertaste and bright lime color.

Flavor profile: bright green color, floral aroma notes with a creamy Matcha aftertaste.

Brewing tips:

• water temperature: 80-90°C warm water. Boiled hot water will make tea bitter and sharp;
• short steeping time: less than 1 min, longer time will result in very concentrated tea;
• re-brewing: 2 times;
• drink warm or with ice added.
